About the club
Leftfooters FC is one of the oldest LGBTQ+ football clubs.
We have always worked to break down the barriers that stop people participating in sport, whether those barries relate to sexual orientation, gender, ethnicity, or ability. Our ethos has never been about picking teams based solely on ability, but about creating a space where everyone belongs.
We’re proud winners of the 2026 Football v Homophobia Grassroots Award, recognising our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive football community.

Our Values
LGBTQ+ Inclusive
A welcoming and supportive space for LGBTQ+ people and allies. Whoever you are, you’ll find a team and community where you can be yourself.
Football For All Abilities
Whether you’ve never kicked a football before, are returning to the game, or are an experienced player, there’s a place for you at Leftfooters. We welcome players of all abilities.
More Than Just Football
Leftfooters is a community both on and off the pitch. Make new friends and get involved in our busy social calendar, including Leftflix (our film club) film nights, regular quiz nights, meals, nights out and more.
